Les espaces du Juste-à-temps: une approche en termes de proximités

Abstract:
This paper attempts to shed light on the ongoing debate concerning the spatial implications of Just-in-Time (JIT). Two aspects of the relationship between supplier and buyer are retained: organizational and transportation dimensions. To lead our analysis, we use the proximity concept and consider that geographic proximity will depend on the interaction between the organizational and the circulatory proximities. We conclude that there is no necessary association between JIT and spatial clustering.
