Abstract:
This study deals with the population of offset printers in Paris from 1950 to 1985. Survival model is employed to test the influences of the variations of industrial variables on the firms life duration. Besides, population variables are also significantly introduced in the models. These results shed light on the complex pressures exerted by competition and legitimacy on entrant firm's life duration, at least at a micro-economic level.
