Abstract:
In today's business context, the ability to changework behaviors is as complex as it is necessary. To improve relationships between department managers and their teams, an action research was conducted in a hypermarket revealing that top-down change can be effective. Based on an analysis of areas of uncertainty of the activity, the identities of employees at work and management style of the direct supervisor, this study helps to demonstrate the major conditions for success of the top-down approach.
