Abstract:
While transnational social dialogue develops rapidly at the level of companies and sectors, few researches have been conducted on the links between these two levels. This article presents the main results of a study conducted for the French Ministry of Labour on the interactions of different levels of transnational social dialogue, focussing on those relating transnational company agreements to the European sectoral social dialogue. It highlights that several links exist between these two levels of transnational social dialogue, be it at the level of the actors who are involved, the subjects that are covered or the implementation procedures that are used. Far from creating a systematic and formalized articulation as it exists in certain national systems, these links prefigure nevertheless increasing interdependences that may lead to the progressive construction of a system of transnational industrial relations.
