Abstract: The use of web sites as a communication tool is widely investigated by academic researchers. Some research especially analyses the social and environmental disclosure practices of firms on their web sites. The paper aims to examine the place taken by these questions in the communication of providers of logistics services (PLS). An Analysis of data provided by the web sites of 50 world-wide PLS was conducted. The findings suggest that corporate social responsibility is an important concern for the PLS, though with different degrees of involvement.
