Abstract: Assess the landscape raises the question of integrating the multidimensionality into the evaluation and the decision-making aid. The landscape presents several sources of valuation (ecological, economic,...) which it is advisable to integrate into the evaluation. The notion of Total Economic Value, distinguishing use values, option and non-use values, allows to report the multifeature of the landscape. However, the purely monetary definition of these values does not allow to report the multidimensionality of the stakes raised by the management of the landscape. We suggest reinterpreting the value of the landscape within a framework of multidimensional analysis based on the distinction of three levels of stakes bound to the management of the space. We show under which conditions (decision rules and decision-making tool) it is possible to make operational this multidimensional approach of the value and to integrate the landscape as a real criterion of decision of development projects.
