Abstract:
The productions of the specialized plant are at the heart of multiple societal stakes. The currents users-consumers expect from these productions of benefits both regarding food and nutrition with positive impacts on their health and well-being and regarding improvement of their living environment with positive impacts on the quality of their environment and for the landscapes. Become a real social good, plant is more and more approved by a large majority for its contribution to the social cohesion and to the attractiveness of the territory. To assess the expected benefits, the economists use diverse tools. The functions performed by the plant give rise to various trade and not trade services which can be economically valued. Beyond the functions traditionally valued (leisure activities, esthetics) and eco-systemic services performed by the plant (support, supply, regulation, cultural), the object of the communication is to try to anticipate future uses bound to the changes of the lifestyles through works stemming from foresight approach. Through this approach, we wish to raise the questions of the feature of the plant in the new urban living spaces. The definition of these new features requires to associate scientific approaches from the domains of the social sciences and the biological sciences with a problematic approach driven by the downstream, from the expectations of the users-consumers and not on the basis of intrinsic problems solving in the plant. In the long term, this project should allow to value the perception of the plant by individual, the impacts on its well-being, its purchasing behaviors and the consequences on the organization of the sector.
