Post-Print from HAL
Abstract:
Although the notion of CSR has often been put in opposition with the shareholder's perspective, this chapter discusses the role and responsibilities of shareholders in the field of CSR. It covers three main topics: the capacity and ability of shareholders to be catalysts for change towards sustainability; the debate around the financial versus societal performance; and the concept of responsible investment (equities and other asset classes).
