Abstract: A link has often be en drawn between the art of modem consultation and the socratic maieutics. Relying on Plato's work (Socrates Apology, Meno, Theaetetus) and on commentators (Maurice Clavel, Soren Kierkegaard, Wladimir Jankélévitch), the paper aims at highlighting similarities and dissimilarities between the art of modern consulting and Socrates maieutics.
