Abstract: Based on a literature review and exploratory interviews, this article examines the concept of "edutainment" within the museum sector. Edutainment refers to the tendency of cultural institutions to incorporate elements of entertainment and interactivity into their offerings in order to attract new audiences, particularly young people. Edutainment presents both opportunities and risks. One of the main threats associated with the trend is the "Disneyification" of cultural institutions. Following a theoretical and managerial analysis, the authors offer recommendations and suggest new avenues of research in the field of museum management.
