Abstract:
Since the last years public expenditures are strictly limited for reducing public deficits. Despite the focus on public spending control, their growth has not ceased and they show strong differentiation. They often take the form of tax reliefs but the tax expenditures' burden on public finances has heavily increased and their general impact is very controversial. The research on the causes of the growth of public expenditures and on their role on economic stabilization is a very important issue for understanding the mechanisms of economic recovery. The consequences of public policy on the households incomes and on their evolution are also questioned in the paper.
