Abstract:
Sustainable development is an abstract idea. Through which mechanisms can such an idea affect firms' management, and thus, at the most operational level? This article first describes the arrangement of mechanisms at play, with a focus on the role of meta-organizations. It then investigates the resulting organizational complexity.
