Abstract:
This article proposes a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework allowing the evaluation of responsible behaviors and practices in a specific industry. Considering the CSR as a negotiated order in ongoing construction, the partnership between the private and public parties can become a solution in the general interest. The implementation of these partnerships along the value chain enables CSR to be placed as a business opportunity that could develop the strategic potential of the company. The evaluation framework provides an objective view. We are going to mobilize this through an exploratory study filled with qualitative data obtained through websites and CSR reports from 2013 of the ten biggest multinational pharmaceutical industries, proving the know-how of this sector in the field of industrial durability.
