Abstract:
This article aims at analyzing structural economic vulnerability for La Reunion. We built a modified version of the UNCDP approach based on a semi-geometric averaging method. Finally, in accordance with the traditional findings obtained for small island developing economies, La Reunion appears to be significantly vulnerable economically. Indeed, our results show for 2008 that this economy appears to be the 76th most vulnerable country amongst 129 developing economies.
