Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to show how the retailing of pharmaceutical products has developed. We will first of all explain what position pharmacies occupy within the pharmaceutical supply chain. We will especially show that the supply proposed by pharmacists mirrors what the retailing sector does; indeed, they even supply private brands. We have adopted a mid term approach for the framework of our study in which we will examine the different forms that the retailing of pharmaceutical products could take, should the legislation evolve.
