Abstract: Danone is one of the best performing groups in the food-processing industry. The company manages four strategic business units: Fresh Dairy Products, Bottled Water, Child Nutrition and Medical Nutrition. It operates in 140 countries and generates more than 50% of its total sales in emerging markets. The strategic priority for the upcoming years is that of profitable growth, in line with its mission of "bringing health through food to as many people as possible". Prepared in close collaboration with the general management of Danone, this case-study presents the evolution of the portfolio of activities of the group, its internationalisation strategy and the adopted managerial practices. This case-study is the updated version of the Danone case G1684 (GB).
