Abstract: The aim of this paper is to understand how local, very heterogeneous actors can get involved collectively for sustainable development. Dynamic game theory brings many elements here, but it can be better if complemented by another approach in term of dynamic identity. Indeed, if a shared identity fosters cooperation, we also know that traditional ties can prevent agents to invest in a new cause. It is therefore important to build a new territorial identity around sustainable development.
