Abstract: Our current economic system is based on the exploitation, and in many cases, the overexploitation of limited natural resources, often without recycling products that are at the end of their life cycles. With such a "linear" system, how can one constantly foresee greater economic growth without threatening the survival of mankind? An approach that is more "circular" would appear to be a better economic solution. This article reveals how research in logistics and supply chain management (SCM) is promoting a new form of economic growth that better integrates ecological, social and societal criteria.
