Abstract: Just a signifier pronounced by a high level manager from a high tech company would have authorized a truth to be said. That truth was since the mid 90s the lack of effective state control over the company of which it was the major shareholder. But this signifier is barred because the truth it means has to be hidden for organizational reasons. There is a metaphorical process that establishes a substitution of meaning. The one who is apparently in charge of the external audit of the Organization finally put himself in a position where he has to hide the elaboration of meaning inside the Organization so that his personal position could remain reasonably acceptable. We face a role reversal between the State Comptroller and the Organization that leads to "perverse" manipulations with the meaning it has for psychoanalysis, that is say diverted from its normal purpose, here rational-legal in the Weberian sense. According to Mr. Van Flemish, there is a multidimensional manipulation of i. men belonging to external state entities (the énarques from the Ministry of Economics and Finance [Bercy]) and ii. the economical models and iii. to some extent the accounting principles. In a methodological perspective, the article shows that the analysis and interpretation of discourse from the perspective of psychoanalysis has a real value. It has more analytical power than usual discourse analysis that, indeed, would learned nothing more than what we already knew. In the name of "management science" and positivism, this classical discourse analysis prohibits interpretation. But what Freud and Lacan have brought (and to some degree Max Weber in a sociological perspective), is the idea that we must not work on explicit contents but on the work of signifiers inside organizations. 'est à ce prix qu'une organisation peut envisager de sortir du cercle vicieux de la répétition et préparer son avenir. Then, an organization will be able to build its future instead of being condemned to repeat its past traumas.
