Abstract: In this research, we offer an integrated reading of alliances' effects beyond their direct impact on partners. Based on the case of PSA Peugeot Citroën/General Motors alliance, which hit the headlines in the automotive sector and which occurred after the consequences of 2008 crisis, this study allows to identify effects of different natures at distinct levels of analysis which are: competitive, coopetitive, reticular and institutional with strong interactions between them.
