L'auteur étudie les conditions de formation des futures patrons américains au sein de la Business School de Harvard, interrogeant le sens moral que les élèves en retirent. Il examine les rouages d'une institution centenaire, dresse des parallèles entre la socialisation des élèves et celle des enseignants, et retrace le parcours éducatif, de la préparation des cours au système d'évaluation.
