Abstract:
Based on an iconographic approach, this paper aims to enlighten differently the history of the ideas about the entrepreneur. We chose to study entrepreneurs of the pre-industrial period, in order to explore the entrepreneurial process in a socioeconomic perspective, that means to analyse both the actor, his entrepreneurial project and the context. We question the entrepreneur's role, and the entrepreneurial process, defined as the activities, operations engaged in the entrepreneurial act.
