Abstract:
The French Neoliberalism and the German Ordoliberalism have their roots in the Lippmann Symposium organized by Louis Rougier in August 1938. These advocates of a renewed liberalism intended to resist against the advance of the planning while rejecting laissez-faire of the manchestérienne School and remaining vigilant from industrial concentration. This new liberalism is not a matter of economists and economic theory, he also managed to converge ideas and men to a common goal : lay the institutional foundations of a liberal society. At the heart of the debate is the question of state interventions consistent with the price mechanism.
