Abstract:
In a context of sharp increase of IFAs concluding, under which conditions can unions obtain the implementation of these agreements outside any legal framework? In this paper, we study two cases of IFAs negotiation and implementation process. These IFAs have been signed by two French multinational enterprises. We show that IFAs enforcement rests on local actors' mobilization and on the coordination that has then been established between trade unionists from different levels (international, national, local and sometime European) as well as on the quality of top management vs. international unions relationship and on the quality of IFA content.
