Abstract: Among new practices optimizing the supply chains, development of pooling represents a milestone in the growth of sustainable supply chains. Logistics pooling represents a pathway to associate independent, and sometimes competing, organizations, through pooling and coordination of resources and information, specific to each player. This chapter aims to show the growing importance of pooling practices in the building of sustainable supply chains by describing the possible shapes taken by these practices and by focusing on the coordination modes they require.
