Abstract:
This case illustrates the logistics choices of an integrated retailer (Auchan) and those of an independent retailer (Intermarché) for their online sales channel. It raises the impact of organisational form on logistics approach, in particular, through two e-grocery models: the warehouse-picking and the store-picking. The case questions also the objectives of the multi-channel strategy.
