Abstract: In this article the actual context of the real estate research is discussed. Three articles are presented. The first one is a literature review of the papers published in the Journal of Housing Economics, the second explores the link between ageing of population and housing prices in France, the third one deals with the diffusion of the environmental certification in the office market. Three research perspectives are also developed: the contemporaneous socio-spatial modifications that occur through the real estate prices channel, the importance of the European scale for various issues, the biases analysis in the decision making process in real estate.
