Abstract:
This contribution introduces a parallel between the fiction of a chain of cooperation theorised by John Rawls to illustrate justice between generations' features and the thesis of a transgenerational social debt defended by the Solidarist Léon Bourgeois. Beyond important theoretical differences, this work underlines that the rawlsian chain of cooperation is developed and justified using a descendent indirect reciprocity principle, a central principle for Solidarism.
