Abstract:
This communication questions whether coordination in territorialised agri-food systems is based on common values. It relies on a doctoral research that combines theoretical approaches (proximity economics and actor-network theory) and four empirical case studies in France. It presents the methodology specifically designed to analyse the processes and mechanisms of emergence of and adherence to this common system of values. This three-step methodology proposes a diachronic approach to account for temporalities related to facts and networks. Moreover, it suggests that the system of values responds to constructions and de-constructions over time as well as reorientations of the agri-food networks; the values are challenged by practices, and values make essentially sense through action.
