Abstract: Companies create communities of practice to accelerate their innovation processes. This article aims to improve our understanding of communities of practice. The results of the empirical study, which is based on 63 semi-structured interviews conducted at SEB Group, highlight the dynamics as well as the benefits and limits of communities of practice in the field of innovation.
