Abstract: This article tests the following hypothesis: values would become the dominant form for referentials, particularly among youth, ideologies and religions being partially reinterpreted, in a general restructuring. The decline of ideologies would prove a relative advantage for "axiologies"(value-systems), which are more open than ideologies, especially for basic values of human rights within a pluralist democracy, which, referring to Weber, form a "monotheism of values".
