Abstract: This work examines whether the development of the size and degree of internationalization of a regional ICT services sub-sector can be explained by the development of manufacturing activities from the same region. This study found mixed support for this question on the basis of quantitative analyses in Basque Country. Altogether, this findings shed new light on the ongoing debate around the importance of KIBS for industry.
