Abstract:
Britanny (France) is deficient in primary materials for feed production although it is the main production region for animal products. The region requires 7 million t of feeds from outside the region to satisfy demands of the 31 000 livestock farms. In 2005, 41% of local feed demands came from the region compared to 44% in 1997. Changes in feed composition are also described.
