Abstract: The technology of the future will change our relationship with objects, with people and with our housing. The Internet of things will create new services in smart home which raises new questions. Our research deals with a better understanding of the value of connected objects in a particular context, the smart home. Our objective is to bring out both the connected objects' perception and the perception of the smart home context for Millennials. A lexical analysis was carried out based on words of 1499 students. Our results show that consumers are more resistant to connected objects when they are considered as a sole object than when they are.
