Abstract:
The research studies the dynamics of cooperative relations in the course of organizational integration following a corporate acquisition. A longitudinal analysis of the emergence and evolution of three types of relationships (collaborations, knowledge exchange and extraprofessional relationships) between the merging firms shows a general tendency towards the growth and reinforcement of cooperative relations in the early years, but also reveals a sequential emergence depending on the type of relationship as well as a cyclical logic on the dyadic level.
