Abstract: This article is an extract from a text which supports lectures targeting managers. This paper questions the difficulty of the task of motivating employees. Having demonstrated that the work is not a moral value, but only a way to earn one's living and not a matter of dignity, this study reflects on its meaning by confronting happiness and motivation from the concept of desire as defined by Platon and Spinoza.
