Abstract: Assuming the supply chain is a relevant level of analysis for the industrial organization and its performance, supply chain management has yet to achieve objectives set some 20 years ago. From this situation stems an interorganizational governance issue, which the authors try to address through the presentation of an "exo-chain" device based on a new, under construction, performance indicator.
