Abstract:
The positions of Jean Jaurès during a social conflict for the creation of a worker glass factory in Albi in 1895 provide an interesting theoretical perspective to discuss contemporary debates on the place of the enterprise in the society. How to make sure that the enterprise takes into account the general interest and does not derive towards the mutual interest of its members? For Jaurès, the statutes must leave room for representations of the general interest as praxis of socialist state.
