Abstract:
This manual is resolutely in the line with the perspective of a new corporate economy. Outwith the classical notions and theories (market theory, firm theory, convention theory, Mintsberg's theory of organisations, Porter's strategic analysis models...), new concepts are brought to the fore: rapid growth, reengineering, competitive engineering, yield management, business models, projet ecosystems, the principle of coevolution, learning regions, small worlds... All these new notions are illustrated through numerous examples (Amazon, Benetton, Dell, France Telecom, Linux, Microsoft, Silicon Valley...) and the new authors and benchmark management theories are cited (Argyris, Bartlett and Ghoshal, Florida, Granovetter, Hamel and Prahalad, Moore...). The dual profile of this work (appraisal-stocktaking and perspectives) make this a fundamental manual for first and second-year students following degree courses, but also an original tool to prepare for exams such as French DECF (OGE) and competitive teacher training certificates.
