Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to understand the process of social innovation through community engagement. A case study of a Tunisian state owned enterprise was conducted. It seeks to understand how this company seeks to reestablish its organizational legitimacy. The findings reveal that organizational leadership explains the process of community engagement while barriers to social innovation are related to the characteristics of the state owned enterprise.
