Abstract:
Collaborative delivery of connected consumers, a new challenge for urban logistics This article focuses on collaborative logistics as part of parcels delivery to individuals in urban areas. It inves- tigates the crowd logistics as a solution that allows receiving and redelivering parcels in case of home delivery failure. Through a modeling and simulation applied to the city of Paris, our results provide the basis for setting up a network of individuals, called "voisinsrelais.com", capable of receiving parcels for fee. This work increases the awareness of distributors and logistics service providers about this new mode of delivery. It avoids customer dissatisfaction, additional costs and environmental impact associated to redelivery.
