Abstract: "Hide this death that I cannot bear to gaze upon": of the singular rapport between aging consumers and second- hand goods Today, second-hand purchasing is the primary emerging consumption trend: this article recommends observing and understanding the usage and attitudes of senior consumers, the engines of tomorrow's economy, with regard to this alternative means of consumption. After having demonstrated the singular nature of their usage and atti- tudes, this article holds up a mirror, to articulate, either positively or negatively, the relationship between objects and aging consumers. Recommendations are then detailed to help sector professionals maximize their second- hand offer's attractiveness among consumers aged 55 and over.
