Abstract: In the framework of open innovation, Jam, developed by IBM in 2001 is a promising type of crowdsourcing to solve societal or managerial problems. In this research, we study the case of Nekoé Jam, in which more than 500 people exchanged for 72 hours in April 2010 on the topic of innovation in services around the Nekoé cluster. This article presents the main advantages of this crowdsourcing of inventive tasks. First, Jam would save time and energy to stakeholders in a project. Then, the plurality and diversity of actors gathered around a particular center of interest is an important source of innovation. Finally, through the development of communities it would promote the mobilization of collective intelligence.
