Abstract: This papers in this session provide complementary views on two sets of issues raised by the ongoing GATT negotiations. Schwartz and Parker (SP) address the problem of measuring government support and its role in the negotiationg process. Runge and Stanton (RS) discuss the main domestic and international issues at stake in the Uruguay Round.
