Abstract: This article aims to show the extent to which the enrolment of players within a network of managers may prove to be a factor in the diffusion of a responsible collective approach particularly with regard to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). After defining the CSR concept and explaining why CSR can be considered as an innovative approach, the first part deals with the role of networks in the integration of responsible practices by SMEs and presents the actor network theory (Callon et Latour, 1986 ; Akrich et al., 1988 ; Callon et Latour, 2006) as the theoretical framework of this study. The second part presents the methodological framework by specifying the collective approach which we have studied, the Global Performance Approach© proposed by the "Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants" (Centre for Young Managers) and the methodology used to complete this research. In the third part, the results obtained in the study lead to show on the one hand how the CSR approach has been translated within the network and on the other hand how it can be disseminated among members of the CJD. This research highlights the mechanisms implemented in the diffusion of this responsible collective approach and reveals that the network is a source of innovation in so far as it changes the relationships between the various players, their perceptions and their CSR strategy.
