Abstract:
In the area of people management in the workplace, vulnerability and resilience are two concepts that are increasingly used to understand the transformations in the world of work. Indeed, the nature of employment is changing. The typical employment relationship, characterized by secure, full-time employment where the worker receives good wages and benefits, is no longer the norm, and more precarious forms of work are taking over in addition to scale. These upheavals that can be identified over a quarter of a century in the world of work, where career, understood as "security of destiny" is no longer guaranteed in the company, makes us realize that it has become essential to develop a culture of resilience within organizations. But if this posture is gradually accepted by workers, it can only exist in reality if the environment is favorable. It therefore seems necessary to better understand why, when, who and how the organizations managing activities become vulnerable and how to develop and reinforce the resilience capacities of people in the face of crises, in human, organizational and technical terms. This is the objective of this collective work which brings together the contributions of researchers around these two interrelated themes of vulnerability and resilience, both at an individual and organizational level. This work, the work of authors from diverse backgrounds, is intended to be an intercultural contribution to the questions formulated above. It considers the diversity of inputs and questions (manager, sociologist, psychologist, educator, etc.), observes the points of view and postures of various actors (school head, SME managers, teachers, managers, etc.) , updates some singularly critical themes, offers openings.
