Abstract:
This article aims to propose the analysis of one remarkable manifestation of imperative state law in the regulation of the globalized economy, through the example of the law on the corporate duty of vigilance. We will seek to reveal to what extent this law reflects a powerful ethical and humanist push permeating some contemporary legal rules and norms. We will also see to what extent this stems from tensions between political legislation and the Law, which impact the conditions of its effectiveness and efficiency.
