Abstract:
With the globalisation of trade and the increase of competition, the competitiveness of industrial enterprises depends not only on the continuous improvement of their process but also on the adoption of technological and managerial innovations. Managerial innovation has attracted little interest from researchers in management sciences, particularly in the field of logistics and supply chain. At the same time, along with technological innovation, managerial innovation is considered by researchers and practitioners a driver for improving firms performance. To address these issues, this study deals with an original managerial innovation in Europe within a supply chain of an industrial company. Our research tries to understand this type of innovation and its organisational and managerial determinants through the prism of project management by focusing on its key characteristics.
