Abstract:
In an emerging institutional field, the absence of institutionalized discourse or practices makes it difficult to study. This article provides an original answer by studying temporary social organizations in an emerging field: field configuring events. Based on the French case of the prevention of psychosocial risks at works, this article shows that it is possible to grasp the challenges of a new field, to identify its actors and its boundaries, and to enable the organizations concerned to better position themselves in the construction of their institutional responses and their search for legitimacy.
