Abstract: A lot of new economic problems revealed a heritage dimension. Commodities, goods, know-how, institutions, attached to individuals or groups, generally located in determined spaces, go through history and influence, more or less strongly, individual and collective dynamics. After having examined them (section 1), we will study the limits of the dominant approach for an analysis of heritage realities and dimensions (section 2) and will try to surpass them by proposing an alternative approach, based on institutionalist and substantivist point of view (section 3).
